I did a interview with Bass Head Music this week. Check it out and pick up a lil bit of what you might not know about me!
Source: thisisadynastyThis past Sunday, the LA Times ran an article which was essentially an inflammatory pummeling of the EDM scene. It painted a picture of “Ecstasy-fueled underground” raves, bumped up into the mainstream, leaving a trail of dead, drug-addled kids being picked up by the “…coroner’s wagon rolling…
Let me reflect on last week. Friday we we on the Mission:16 event that brought MobStyle Musics Bukshot out to Chicago!
I had the honor of DJing the night, Props to my homie Beast for hookin it up! It was a dope night, seeing many talented artists hit the stage! Special guests of the night were Dark Half bringing that LSP Cult Shit to Tigers! We had planned to do a Pazzo Solo set but Whyte Noize made it and we rocked a true 2nSane set!
It was the first time Id seen the Weirdos Champ rock the stage, and I was left with a whole new respect not only for Bukshot, but the whole MobStyle crew! After the sets were down I chopped it up with Buk. Dude is mad cool and really down with his fam. And if yall dont know much about this dude I guarantee you will be hearing his name ALOT more in the near future! Whenever someone on a higher level in the game give you any kind of real props it goes a long way. Hearing good things bout my beats from Buk and Mixed Magic was some serious motivation!
As you might know from reading these posts, no night with 2nSane goes without some kind of adventure. This time, I forgot to get gas and was running late to get there, when we left the whip wouldnt start. Lots of hiccups on my end and a lot of walking we got the shit going and on the way!
Cuttin that very short, I guess that leads us up to here…
This Friday UG Promotions are hosting a VIP Style Bash for a close friend of the company. This will be the FIRST time Ive had a headliner spot in the V-Lounge, its most def an honor! To make things even more special Im bringing out my brotha from anotha Kenny Rogers AkA DJ DayOne! Hes going to be bringing some of those funky hard beats! This past weekend we closed up the Middle Fingerz High Tour 2012. In high fashion we closed out in the city that has showed me some of the most love, South Bend, IN. For the FIRST time 2nSane was brought out by the SB ROOTS crew for an event called CLASH at one of the dopest clubs, Smiths! The night went how I had hoped, maybe even better with the exception of Haze being there.
The last week of this tour has been the most hetic of the whole rip. 6 shows over 8 days. Little to no rest and atleast a few thousand miles on the road. I guess it was only right to end it in Indiana. For this show things were down to the wire. Pazzo and I set out to the Bend a lil early to get some local flavor to grub on. Spot of choice for most the shows I did out there is Between The Buns. The homie Aaron Sweetz showed me this spot and its became an instant classic. After smashing a dozen of the best wings, we went to check in at the venue. Then to get My lil sister Rachel who lives out there in the Kingdom. The place is Castle Point and really has a instant way of making you feel at home. We swooped her, and with just under 2hrs till we took the stage had to go get Whte Noize from the airport. After getting up, and a lil pow wow we got to the venue. Over the years I’ve been bleesed in meeting many good people out in the Bend. It was nice to introduce 2nSane to them.
We got ready and I get on the decks to DJ our homie D-Days set as he warmed the stage for us. After a quick mic recheck, it was time to bring that UG vibe to the Bend! Now when you play a new spot, you never know how the crowd will respond. I can’t say I was shocked, but idk if I expected all the love we got. Within the first 5 mins of our 45min set we had the place going nuts! Our set was on point, from old to new we did all the bangers and then some. It was truly and honor to play Smiths with 2nSane, but I felt even better knowing we did what we came to do. After we got off stage till the end of the night we got mad love. Countless people told us even though they don’t normally like Hip Hop they found us extremely entertaining!
There was this ninja who Pazz met on FB who came and caught our set. I was completly shocked when I seen him in the front and he knew every word to our songs!
I had to show the boyz what its like in SBI so with a few KB drinks we checked out the rest of the acts before heading out to the afters.
On the way out, Rachel asked the boyz to grab her a Christmas tree from a building near by. Of course they did. When we took off and rounded the block to meet back with Sweetz, we were swooped on by 6 cops! Long story short, cops checked my trunk, found a mini Christmas tree and some other tree. In the eyes of all going to jail, Pazzo hands me his wallet and his pin #s and tells the cops its all his! Like a straight G he was willing to go to jail so the rest of us didn’t have to. Luckily the cops didn’t feel like dealing with us and let us go. Good thing I have a good manager!
We made it to my homie LJs house for a small after hours with plenty of celebrating rounds of loud! I think we ended back to the Kingdom at 4. Ate some pizza and had a convo in the voice of Marz till 6 then ended night 1 one the Bender!
When we woke our asses up it was time to start prepping afta Thanksgiving. I had to get Noize back to the airport and we were down to the minute on that. Shortly after getting back, Jamie, Kenny, Miche and Jonus joined us. We were getting the Fam together for a real Thanksgiving dinner. No gathering can happed without a proper pow wow, or a couple drinks! Sweetz recommended the boyz go out for a Papa Smurf or 2 at Between The Buns. And truly like a bunch of guys we ordered some good fried foods, even though we had dinner being made at the Castle! Pazzo just wasn’t ready for this Bender, but he went on like a trooper! I can describe a Papa Smurf other then it gets ya fucked up, so fucked up you can only order 2.
I was dizzy by the time we left. Got back just in time to get our feast on! A little later we hit the Sweetz Refinery for a lil mix session and pow wow! Sweetz has a room for the lookers, every spot on the walls are covered in eye candy most of which you’ll never see anywhere else!
All and All thre would have been no better way to end the last month and a half on the road, then in my hone away from home! I’m happy to be so rooted with Fam in the Bend, and to beable to show my brothas 2nSane how we do it in Indiana!
The Middle Fingerz High Tour has been something full of magic for me. I’ve dreamed of tour life and feel so blessed to get to expierence it! From all the artists we were able to work with Big and Small, to all the dope places we got to see and rock. Can’t wait to do it again even BIGGER! Thanks again to EVERYONE who was part of this tour! Until next time Much Love and Respect- Bobe Blaze!
Sunday night UG Promotions were hosts to DJ Clay’s Juggalo Jump Off in Chicago! This was a major highlight for all of us. Being a Juggalo before any of what we do now, cant help but feeling like we were living in our dreams.
When I got to the venue for load in, I see the Psy road crew setting up the stage with the Jump Off banner and Clays CDJs. With a double take I notice, Rob “Jumpsteady” Bruce Donned out in his leather Psy jacket. With that I was taken back. Here is a Don of Psychopathic scopin out our home court! With out the Bruce Bloodline would we be doing this???? As we got prepped and settled in, we locked down the venue for a private sound check. While outside meeting some of the acts we had booked, and having a lil pow wow JumpSteady came out and talked with us for a while. Dude was mad cool. Had only met him passing by before. He says that they have a lot planned for 2013 at Psy. Shooting for another BIG year!
The vibes of the night were all about the Fam. Doing as many Fam aimed shows really makes me miss what we did with MUJ. (Midwest United Juggalos) I never like giving up on anything but sadly I did with MUJ. As things picked up with UG, I felt if I kept on with MUJ Id be using the Fam for my gain, and from here on out only want to re earn my respect with the Family. It was really dope to meet ninjas Ive talked to on the site or pages. We streamed on the MUJ Ustream channel and this ninja asked me if I hacked that page. In midst the laughing I let homie know that MUJ was me and some homies. Turns out we talked a few time over the previous 2 years.
I did a warm up set, couldnt do many Psy bangers to save them for Clay. DJ Etiquette! After my set and getting the thumbs up from Cards, DJ Clays manager we got the show going. There was some serious talent getting down. Wanna shout out Mission:16, Trill Mob, Cannibal Chris, and Non Prophets for going WAM for the Fam! Getting to rock it with 2nSane and Haze is ALWAYS a highlight, we got to do it this time in front of some of tops of our favorite label. Shit felt so crazy gettin props from Clay, Jumpsteady and Myzery and his crew.
When Myzery took stage it took me back to the early days of Psy! Shit ws dope mix of old and new. NEVER did I think Id see Myzery do Witching Hour! That shit was raw! Thanks for the shirt yall through out! Ill be rocking that my next show! After Myzery rocked it with his hypeman Flamez, it was time to have Bailz show out for Chi Town. Then it was time for DJ Clay to get the fuck down! The ninja hit the decks hard! He showed why he has the seat he does! For anyone saying hes a shitty DJ I got mad video of him showing his skills. He rocked the decks, came out and vibed with the crowd, then called us all up to get down with We Dont Die! The crowd was HYPE! Then for the first time Ive seen, he stepped from behind the decks and did a set on the mic, playing all his dope solo tracks! This was dope to hear all his tacks and have him rocking it!
With out a doubt you cant put a finger on what the Juggalo Jump Off is. There is no standard concert format it is a straight up JUGGALO PARTY!
As we closed up the night back stage, I got, to me what is prob the biggest compliment Clay gave me props for what I did on the decks. Fuckin felt good to hear that from a DJ I look up to. After a shot with the UG x Psychopathic x AR Ent crews and a short interview with Pazzo and Bailz, the night came to an end!
This is a night Ill never forget! Makes me feel real blessed to be here. In the last month we’ve go to play shows with Twiztid, and Clay of the label I grew up on. To me it is mind blowing. As much as I dreamed of this shit, never did I think it would be more then that! Thanks to all the Fam, without yall we couldnt be out here doin this! All the fans of UG we owe it all to yall for the support! With yall we hope to be doin this for many more years! Also gotta thank the Family that has brought me in. The UG Squad, Haze, Pazzo, Noize, Kenny and everyone else. Yall have taken me and and taken me to new heights! Ill be greatful just for this weekend FOREVER!
Next stop on the MFHT will be with DJ Green Lantern at the Shrine this Wednesday! Till then Much Love!- Bobe Blaze
